Randy Tharp is a US Army Veteran and the co-founder of VETSports. He is a business executive currently working as the Vice President of Operations for Cognosante. Previously Randy served as the Federal CIO, within the Executive Office of The President of the United States overseeing the federal IT budget of $90 Billion that is comprised of over 6,700 major investments. Randy provided direct portfolio oversight and management to Veterans Affairs, Department of Transportation, Small Business Administration, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

 
 
 
 
 

BT Urruela

co founder & vice-president

BT Urruela is a combat wounded Veteran, purple heart recipient, and the co-founder of VETSports. BT is also a contemporary author who has written both independent and traditionally published books. He is an under 40 award recipient and the brand ambassador for VETSports. He is a cover model, motivational speaker and philanthropist. Upon medically retiring from the US Army after losing his leg to an improvised explosive device BT focused on his passions of working out, supporting his fellow Veterans through his non-profit VETSports, and writing his contempory books.

 
 
 
 

Braendey Molson

Meet Braendey Molson, VETSports' dedicated Director of Operations, driving the organization forward with exceptional leadership. As an Air Force Veteran, Braendey engages directly with VETSports members and chapter leaders daily, bringing her wealth of experience to the forefront. A Fordham University alumna with a Master's Degree in Public Media and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Sports Management and Organizational Leadership, along with minors in Psychology and Communications, she embodies versatility and expertise.

In her multifaceted role, Braendey serves not only as the Member Director but also as the visionary behind the VETSports app, crafting its workflow and contributing to its continuous enhancement over the past year. Her collaboration with app developers, sponsored by GAI, showcases her commitment to technological innovation within VETSports. In addition, taking charge of all Media and Communications, she handles tasks ranging from website design to communication design, video production, and overall management. Additionally, Braendey plays a pivotal role in our gala committee, spearheading the design and creation of all media content leading up to the event and on the day itself, ensuring a truly memorable experience.

Moreover, as the Director of Operations, Braendey ensures VETSports operates at maximum efficiency and productivity. Her responsibilities extend to budgeting, formulating long-term operational strategies, and working closely with leadership to achieve VETSports' objectives. Braendey's development of performance goals and long-term operational plans reflects her dedication to the organization's sustained success. Her leadership plays a pivotal role in shaping VETSports into a dynamic and impactful force within the veteran community.
