An Olympic Gold Medalist, three-time Olympian, brand ambassador and motivational speaker. She is the only American gymnast to medal at three different Olympic Games in the team competition and the first African-American gymnast to win an Olympic Gold medal. Dominique paved the way for other young African-American gymnasts to strive for Olympic glory. At the 1996 Atlanta Games, Dominique became the first female African-American gymnast to win an individual medal, capturing bronze with her floor exercise performance, helping solidify her place in the USOC Hall of Fame.
Kyle White is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient who chooses to align himself with three main areas of focus when it comes to our nation’s service members and veterans: employment, education & mental healthcare.
Kyle currently serves as the treasurer and Washington DC agent for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. He is also an ambassador for the COHEN veterans network.
Kyle enjoys working with organizations like VETSports who promote veteran involvement, community service projects, and the importance of being a good citizen.
Luwanda serves a senior executive for the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Office of Strategic Sourcing in the Office of Information and Technology (OIT).
As the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) for Strategic Sourcing, she provides executive oversight and leadership in the development of plans and processes to control, optimize, and leverage IT/IT-related acquisition actions throughout the Department. With a focus on acquisitions valued at over $4B annually, Luwanda plays a crucial role in shaping IT acquisition policy, plans, and guidelines.
She works directly with VA’s Chief Information Officer to ensure that the accountability and responsibility documented in Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) for IT and IT-related acquisitions are implemented, monitored, and are following the FITARA legislation and IT Category Management processes throughout the Department.
Jason Gray currently serves as USAID's Chief Information Officer. He has more than two decades of leadership in management, operations, and handling of large information technology (IT) portfolios.
Mr. Gray’s career began at Lockheed Martin, where he worked first as a Systems Engineer and Analyst, and later in a management role for more than a decade. He has also spent time in the healthcare field as CIO of the Miami VA Healthcare System and as Chief Technology Officer of the National Naval Medical Center. He later applied these skills in his role as the Associate CIO at the Department of Transportation (DOT) where he managed DOT’s $3.5 billion IT portfolio and led on IT policy and oversight for information governance, compliance, and departmental policy. Most recently, he has served as the CIO for the Department of Education (Ed), where he oversaw $844 million in annual IT investments, and an annual Office of the CIO operating budget of $121 million.
In addition to serving as CIO, Mr. Gray will be the Authorizing Official for all USAID IT systems, the Senior Accountable Official for Supply Chain Risk Management (SAO SCRM), and the Co-Chair of the IT Steering Subcommittee.
Drew Myklegard is the Deputy Federal CIO of the White House tech policy office. He is responsible for driving technology modernization and improving mission delivery by ensuring over $120B in Federal IT spending is well managed. Prior to joining the White House, Drew served as the Executive Director of Product Engineering at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Drew led the implementation of VA’s Lighthouse Application Programming Interface (API) Platform which enabled over 6 million veterans to securely share their health and benefits data with approved third parties – revolutionizing how veterans manage their health care. In addition to his public service, Drew is an active member of the Army Reserves and completed one tour in Iraq.
In January 2021, Chris DeRusha was appointed as the Federal Chief Information Security Officer in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer (OFCIO). Before coming back to federal government, DeRusha served as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Biden for President campaign. Prior to joining the campaign in June 2020, he served as the Chief Security Officer for the State of Michigan. DeRusha has extensive experience managing cybersecurity and critical infrastructure programs and operations both in the public and private sectors. DeRusha led Ford Motor Company's Enterprise Vulnerability Management program and has over eight years of Federal Government experience working both at the Office of Management and Budget and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He holds a Master’s in Security Studies from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from James Madison University.
Tim McCrosson is the Assistant Chief Information Officer for Rural Development. This work is focused on maintaining and developing IT capabilities which support mission delivery and operations across the Mission Area. Previously he was theAssociate CIO for the Client Experience Center (CEC). In that role he consolidated IT operations for all 125,000 people who support USDA and delivered laptops, network, software, and IT support across the Department.
Before returning to USDA, Tim was the Deputy Branch Chief for Cybersecurity Performance Management in the new Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) at the Department of Homeland Security. There he worked to refine and transform the data collected in support of the Federal Information Security Modernization (FISMA 2014) by pioneering new approached in quantitative risk analysis.
Tim was also the Unit Chief for Agency Oversight in the Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer (OFCIO), in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). He was a contributor to many policy changes including changes to the way that IT is budgeted in the federal sector by introducing Technology Business Management (TBM). He also developed policies on agile development and accessibility. He re-defined the PortfolioStat process.
He also supported the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee in the Senate. In this role he contributed to legislation and supported oversight hearings for the minority. Tim was an IT Program Manager and founding member of the Project Management Office in the Food and Nutrition Service at USDA. He supported the financial management systems, School Lunch, WIC and other mission systems. He changed the organization by bringing agile development practices to the team. He was selected and completed the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program. His federal career began at Housing and Urban Development where he started as a Web Manager and accepted more challenging assignments that eventually led to the project manager for the re-engineering of the biggest grant system in the Department.
Tim lives just outside of DC and enjoys playing/coaching/reffing soccer, especially with his kids, trail running, kayaking, and biking.
